On one occasion, when I was fearful because of many difficulties I had in the convent and feeling alone, I went to pray in the chapel and to be with Jesus. And I heard Jesus' voice in my soul saying, "My dearest child, I love you, and you are not alone. I am glad you have come here to be with me in the silence of the chapel. I not only want to speak to you often, but tell others I want to speak to all who come to me in prayer. But remember, my voice is soft and gentle. You need silence to hear me."

At that moment, I felt that all my sufferings and trials were as nothing to me, for these words of Jesus echoed deeply in my heart: "Do not be afraid of anything or anyone. I am always with you. I am always with you."
